Hey reddit, here's my bad roommate experience.
The roommate I'm sharing an apartment with uses the toilet and the flushes BEFORE she wipes her ass. So many times I'll walk in to the bathroom and see a floating piece of TP with shit stains on it. One time, she must have been on her period because not only was there the usual shit stained TP, it was swimming in a pool of red water.
She literally doesn't do her laundry for months until she has absolutely no more clean clothes to wear. And when she does do her laundry, she'll leave her clothes in the washer for days until her clothes stink of mildew but she just hangs them up to dry anyway.
Her friends used to come over almost every day for three weeks and smoke weed. I've no problem if you wanna do weed, but it's a bit much when you come home from work everyday or wake up in the morning and the only thing you smell is MJ. And she's so bad at keeping her "guests" in line they basically consumed me and the other roommate's food. And her friends didn't come in twos or threes. At one point there were six of her friends in our small apartment and those that couldn't fit into her room slept in the living room at reverse hours, sleeping in the day. To makes matters worse, the influx of people meant that our water and electricity bill skyrocketed for that month.
She's terrible at general cleanliness of the house as well. She'd use plates and mugs and not wash them unless we demanded her to do so. She would keep using clean mug after mug until we had no other clean mugs left in the house. Her room is vile. She doesn't mop or vacuum her room so whenever she'd step into the bathroom, she'd leave black footprints behind her which I'd hose down everytime.
As for her personality, she's an attention whore who believes she's more streetwise and independent that she actually is and generally just gives bad advice to people.
The past three weeks she was gone was the most stress-free, happy three weeks I've had since she came here. I am so glad to be moving out soon.
God, I hope she gets a UTI.

buzz / newsvine.com / - Grammy show producer Ken Ehrlich had considered putting dancing/electronica music into the ceremony in the past, but could never quite figure out how to incorporate the high-energy club feel in front of a sometimes staid audience.
